Reliable Website Support
I provide reliable WordPress website support and maintenance services to businesses in Brighton and across the UK. From routine updates and security monitoring to bug fixes, content publication, and hosting management, I help keep your website secure, up to date, and performing at its best.
Expert Support With Managing Your WordPress Site
Most WordPress websites need regular attention to stay secure, fast, and fully functional. Core, theme, and plugin updates, security vulnerabilities, expiring SSL certificates, and the occasional bug are all part and parcel of owning a WordPress site. Without someone keeping a close eye on things, small issues can turn into much bigger (and more expensive) problems.
I have worked on many hundreds of WordPress sites over the last 20 years, and I provide practical, hands-on support to keep everything running smoothly. From emergency bug fixes to routine maintenance, content publishing, and hosting migrations, I help business owners and managers avoid the stress of managing their website on their own.
If you are based in Brighton or close by, I am happy to meet you in person to discuss your requirements. Alternatively, we can chat over a video call. Contact me to arrange a free initial consultation.
Website Support from £50 per hour
If you are stuck with a WordPress issue and need support, I am happy to help. In addition to ad-hoc assistance, I also provide support plans from £100 per month.
Common WordPress Issues I Can Help You Resolve
WordPress powers a significant proportion of the websites on the internet, and it is the content management system I know inside out. Whether you are running a simple brochure site, a WooCommerce store, or a more complex build with custom themes and plugins, I can fix most issues you are likely to encounter.
Common WordPress tasks I assist with include:
- Core, theme, and plugin updates – if you don’t have a staging environment, I can help you set one up so that these updates can be carried out without breaking anything.
- Malware removal and security hardening – if your site has been hacked, I can help you clean it up and then apply best practices to reduce the risk of future attacks.
- Performance optimisation – I can assist you with image compression, caching, and database tidying.
- Broken functionality and bug fixes – whether the issue is with a plugin, a theme, or custom code.
- Plugin recommendations and configuration – helping you avoid bloat and conflicts.
- WooCommerce support – covering product management, checkout issues, and payment gateway configuration.
- Gutenberg and page builder support – including Divi Builder, Elementor, and similar tools.
- Migrations between hosting providers – with minimal downtime.
It was a pleasure working with James and I would have no hesitation in recommending his services. He helped me with various aspects of setting up a shop page for my website, as well as advising on other WordPress related issues.

Frequently Asked Questions
Some of the common questions I am asked about this service.
Do I have to be on WordPress to work with you?
WordPress is my specialism and the platform I know best, but I also have experience with Shopify, Drupal, and other content management systems. If you are on a different platform, please get in touch, and I will let you know if I can help.
Can you take over the maintenance of a WordPress site I did not build?
Absolutely. Many of my clients come to me with existing WordPress sites that were originally built by someone else. I will start by reviewing the site, its hosting, and its current setup, and then agree on a sensible plan to keep everything secure and running smoothly.
Do you provide hosting as part of your service?
I do not maintain my own servers, but I can recommend the best managed hosting solution to suit your needs. If you are unhappy with your existing provider, I can also arrange to migrate your site to the new setup with minimal disruption.
How quickly can you start?
For most clients, I can start within a few days of our initial conversation. For urgent issues, such as a hacked site or a site that has gone offline, I will always do my best to respond as quickly as possible.
Are you available to meet in person?
Yes. If you are based in Brighton or Hove, I am happy to meet you for a coffee or visit your workplace to discuss your requirements. For clients further afield, we can discuss the issues via the phone or a video call.
What happens if I only need occasional help?
That is no problem. Hourly support at £50 per hour is ideal for clients who only need occasional assistance. There is no obligation to commit to a monthly retainer, and you only pay for the time you use.
